What is an RSS Feed and how can I make use of it?
Using an RSS Feed is a way of getting notified by a program when something important happens. For example, online news websites will have RSS feeds
available for their customers to receive breaking news headlines.
In order to use an RSS Feed, the customer or client needs to install RSS listening software, such as the free software, RssReader. The client then gives the RSS Software a link to listen on. When an event occurs and the link is updated, a notification window lets the user know that there is some new information to be seen.
Safe-Tag uses this technology to allow each individual Safe-Tag to have it's own RSS feed link. If you use RSS Feeds and someone reports your item as found, the RSS feed is automatically updated so that you are notified on your desktop via the RSS software.
We provide this service so that you can be notified instantly; and you won't have to be constantly checking your e-mail
Pretty neat huh?
