  How much does a Safe-Tag cost?
  Safe-Tags are only $10 for 3 Years! To purchase a Safe-Tag, visit our "Order" page. A portion of revenue will be donated to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

  I already have an identification tag on my pet
  Safe-Tag has more to offer than conventional pet tags. It allows for full control over the information used for safe return of your pet. Can your pet’s tag do these?

  My pet is "chipped", why would I need a Safe-Tag?
  While having your pet chipped is a good way of having your pet eventually returned, not all shelters or veterinarians carry the same chip readers. Furthermore, chipping can cost up to four times the price of a Safe-Tag. If you need to update the contact information associated with the chip, you have to visit the veterinarian. Safe-Tag also has the advantage of allowing anybody who finds your pet - not just a shelter - to contact you.

  What was that about having an RSS Feed?
  Each Safe-Tag you activate with us has an RSS Feed associated with it. RSS Feeds allow you to be notified instantly if you are at your computer. Learn how you can make good use of this on our RSS Information page.

  What if the person who finds my pet doesn't have internet access?
  No problem. Safe-Tags can be reported by the internet or via toll-free 800 number. The niftiest part is if the person decides to report it via the 800 number, they have the option of leaving a voice message. After the tag is reported, our system automatically calls the primary phone number we have on file for you, and reads you the phone number they gave us, and then proceeds to play you the message left for you. Plus, you will even be able to listen to the message from the member's area of the Safe-Tag website.

  How much does it cost for text-message notification?
  There are no additional costs for receiving Safe-Tag notifications by text-message. No additional charges are brought on from our side, but your cell service provider may impose charges for text-messaging. Check with them first.

  What if I don't have a cell phone or alphanumeric pager?
  Your Safe-Tag will still notify you by all of the other methods if you don't have a particular one.

  Is this the only tag you offer?
  For the time being, yes. We hope to have a selection of tags in the future for you to choose from.
